Belinda Whirley is the Toombs County Commission Clerk.
 |
Belinda was born in Toombs County and raised in Georgia where she graduated from Montgomery County High School and attended Brewton-Parker College and received a Bachelor of Science in Business. She also attended Georgia Southern University where she earned a Masters of Public Administration. She received her County Clerk's Certification in 1996, her Finance Officer Certifications I and II in 2003 and finished the Masters Program in 2008 through the University of Georgia, Carl Vinson Institute of Government.
She began her career in local government as county clerk for the Montgomery County Board of Commissioners in 1993. In 2002, she made a career change to municipal government for 8 years with the cities of Sylvania, Monticello, and Mount Vernon.
Belinda resides in Mount Vernon, Georgia with her youngest son Troy and attends the Mount Vernon United Methodist Church. She has two sons; Michael and Troy, one daughter; Logan, one granddaughter, Shelby and two grandsons, Joshua and DJ. |
