These forms are also available on-line by going to http://www.gaprobate.org. Click on the Court Forms Website link shown on our Menu.
Probate of Estates:
We offer all of the standard probate services that you can find everywhere else in the state of Georgia. Our Probate court has the exclusive but limited jurisdiction of the administration of the estates of deceased persons, and the appointment of guardians for minors and incapacitated adults.
Estate Probate Forms, and Marriage & Firearms License (Weapons Carry Permit) information can be found by going to http://www.gaprobate.org. Click on the Court Forms Website link shown on our Menu.
Weapons Carry Permits:
We issue Georgia Weapons Carry Licenses on Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday 9:00am - 11:00am each week. Closed on Thursdays. Our Computers generate a Weapons Carry License application, fingerprints are completed at the county jail, and a background check is run through GCIC, ICE, NICS, and the FBI. All reports are back in the office in approximately two weeks and if everything is clear, the license is issued.
Both parties need to be present when the application is filled out. If either party has ever been married, proof needs to be provided of how the marriage was dissolved before a new license can be issued. There are two different fees for marriage licenses. If the couple has had marriage counseling the fee is $36.00, without counseling the fee is $76.00.
The Requirements to obtain a Marriage License are as follows for Both Parties:
- Valid ID of Bride and Groom
