PROBATE COURT

 

Georgia Probate Courts exercise exclusive, original jurisdiction in the probate of wills, administration of estates, appointment of guardians (minor and adult) and involuntary hospitalization of incapacitated adults and other individuals. The Probate Court issues Georgia birth and death certificates.

The Probate Judge administers oaths of office and issues marriage license and weapons carry permits.

The Probate Court will serve the general public and the citizens of Toombs County with integrity, respect, compassion and professionalism. We will work effectively as a team to ensure the highest standard of service within our office.
